It uses CRISPR-based platforms, such as ELXR, designed for precise, durable epigenetic silencing of genes without changing the underlying DNA sequence; and XE, designed to support specific and efficient gene editing. The company was incorporated in 2017 and is headquartered in Alameda, California.
