Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services, Consumer Goods & Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB), which rose 3.57% or 2.120 points to trade at 61.490 at the close. Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) added 0.95% or 0.570 points to end at 60.520 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 0.77% or 0.75 points to 97.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which lost 5.72% or 1.470 points to trade at 24.230 in late trade. Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) declined 3.03% or 0.46 points to end at 14.73 and Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) shed 2.55% or 0.390 points to 14.900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 136 to 88 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.51% or 6.68 to $1297.92 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.84% or 0.43 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.71 to trade at $57.88 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.56% to 19.0220, while EUR/MXN rose 0.40% to 22.4409.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.12.
