Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM), which rose 2.32% or 1.130 points to trade at 49.860 at the close. Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) added 2.14% or 2.65 points to end at 126.29 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) was up 1.31% or 0.99 points to 76.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB), which lost 2.78% or 4.89 points to trade at 171.08 in late trade. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) declined 2.25% or 0.350 points to end at 15.190 and Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) shed 1.75% or 0.23 points to 12.93.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 117 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.33% or 4.20 to $1278.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $56.74 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $63.09 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.03% to 19.1353, while EUR/MXN rose 0.02% to 22.3187.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.40.
