Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms Services and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which rose 2.21% or 0.540 points to trade at 24.950 at the close. VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) added 1.98% or 0.43 points to end at 22.16 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) was up 1.39% or 1.79 points to 130.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA), which lost 2.15% or 0.770 points to trade at 35.070 in late trade. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.08% or 0.460 points to end at 42.260 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) shed 1.02% or 7.73 points to 753.01.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 177 to 88 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.19 to $1335.89 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.33% or 0.16 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.80% or 0.43 to trade at $54.27 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.37% to 17.7396, while EUR/MXN rose 0.44% to 21.2209.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 91.91.
