Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA), which rose 5.14% or 1.040 points to trade at 21.270 at the close. Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) added 3.30% or 0.43 points to end at 13.45 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) was up 2.06% or 0.410 points to 20.350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which lost 2.45% or 2.54 points to trade at 101.09 in late trade. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) declined 2.02% or 1.50 points to end at 72.90 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) shed 1.20% or 0.400 points to 32.860.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 112 and 12 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1278.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $55.26 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $61.41 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.01% to 19.0530, while EUR/MXN fell 0.01% to 22.4254.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.84.
