Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Industry, Financials and Manufacturing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 1.56%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM), which rose 18.13% or 290 points to trade at 1890 at the close. Meanwhile, Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (JK:META) added 16.13% or 25 points to end at 180 and Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama (JK:AHAP) was up 15.38% or 20 points to 150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (JK:DGIK), which fell 10.00% or 7 points to trade at 63 at the close. Sidomulyo Selaras Tbk (JK:SDMU) declined 10.00% or 16 points to end at 144 and Gowa Makassar Tourism Develop (JK:GMTD) was down 10.00% or 950 points to 8550.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 173 to 165 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (JK:DGIK) fell to 3-years lows; falling 10.00% or 7 to 63. Shares in Sidomulyo Selaras Tbk (JK:SDMU) fell to all time lows; down 10.00% or 16 to 144.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.99% or 1.15 to $39.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.96% or 1.26 to hit $43.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 3.60 to trade at $1150.00 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.64% to 14025.0, while AUD/IDR rose 1.40% to 10080.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 93.75.
