Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 6.28% or 1.260 points to trade at 21.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 2.94% or 1.160 points to end at 40.840 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 2.76% or 1.06 points to 39.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB), which fell 2.41% or 1.070 points to trade at 43.210 at the close. Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) declined 1.72% or 1.630 points to end at 93.340 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was down 1.21% or 0.330 points to 26.940.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 99 to 50 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) rose to all time highs; up 2.76% or 1.06 to 39.58.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.33% or 3.70 to $1104.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.20% or 0.97 to hit $44.97 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.51% or 0.71 to trade at $48.06 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.34% to 16.6935, while EUR/MXN fell 0.69% to 18.8207.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 95.76.
