Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Industrials and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 1.50% or 0.540 points to trade at 36.460 at the close. Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) added 1.68% or 0.440 points to end at 26.580 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) was up 1.42% or 0.460 points to 32.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which lost 3.02% or 0.120 points to trade at 3.860 in late trade. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) declined 2.45% or 10.920 points to end at 435.630 and La Comercial (MX:LCMRUBC) shed 1.50% or 0.26 points to 17.12.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 81 and 5 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.34% or 4.45 to $1312.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.28% or 1.52 to hit $44.83 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.61% or 1.76 to trade at $46.97 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.01% to 18.8176, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 20.9762.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.02.
