Bursa de Valori Bucuresti SA engages in the administration and management of the financial markets in Romania. The company operates through Capital Markets, Post-Trading Services, Registry Services, and FCI Services and Other Services segments. It operates a regulated market for trading of financial instruments, such as shares and rights issued by international and Romanian entities; debt instruments, including corporate, municipality, and government bonds issued by Romanian entities and international corporate bonds; UCITs consisting of shares and fund units; structured products; and tradable UCITS, such as ETFs. The company also operates AeRO market for start-ups and SMEs; and Arena trading system for trading, clearing, settlement and registry operations for spot and futures, as well as brokerage system. In addition, it offers data vending to data vendors, professionals, and investors; post-trading services; registry services, such as storage and updating of the registry of stakeholders for the listed companies; and investor compensation fund and other services. The company was founded in 1839 and is headquartered in Bucharest, Romania.
