Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financial Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 2.86% or 12.67 points to trade at 455.75 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 2.41% or 7.55 points to end at 321.05 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was up 1.80% or 0.700 points to 39.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which lost 1.97% or 0.590 points to trade at 29.390 in late trade. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) declined 1.88% or 0.870 points to end at 45.450 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) shed 1.65% or 0.400 points to 23.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 145 to 122 and 12 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.04% or 0.45 to $1198.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.49 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.17 to trade at $51.83 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.09% to 19.6529, while EUR/MXN fell 0.05% to 20.8446.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.62.
