Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods & Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 1.64% or 7.51 points to trade at 466.21 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 1.37% or 0.580 points to end at 42.930 and Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) was up 0.73% or 0.120 points to 16.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA), which lost 4.23% or 2.820 points to trade at 63.860 in late trade. Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) declined 3.46% or 0.970 points to end at 27.090 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) shed 2.72% or 0.85 points to 30.39.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 141 to 86 and 5 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 4.56 to $1277.76 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.91% or 1.48 to hit $49.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.44% or 1.39 to trade at $55.61 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.48% to 18.5853, while EUR/MXN rose 0.62% to 21.8001.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.62.
