Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Industry, Financials and Infrastructure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Bank Artos Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ARTO), which rose 34.48% or 60 points to trade at 234 at the close. Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA) unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to end at 240 and Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) was up 25.00% or 110 points to 550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk PT (JK:MABA), which lost 19.12% or 52 points to trade at 220 in late trade. Bank Agris Tbk (JK:AGRS) declined 17.42% or 62 points to end at 294 and Charnic Capital Tbk PT (JK:NICK) shed 13.86% or 23 points to 143.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 269 to 153 and 108 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.36% or 1.62 to $46.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.07% or 1.76 to hit $55.48 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1258.95 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.46% to 14462.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.57% to 10248.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 95.727.
