Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Industry, Financials and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Buana Listya Tama Tbk PT (JK:BULL), which rose 25.95% or 34 points to trade at 165 at the close. Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA) added 23.85% or 52.00 points to end at 270.00 and Buana Finance Tbk (JK:BBLD) was up 23.70% or 160 points to 835 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (JK:ALKA), which lost 30.53% or 40 points to trade at 91 in late trade. Arthavest Tbk (JK:ARTA) declined 23.53% or 80 points to end at 260 and Jembo Cable Company Tbk (JK:JECC) shed 14.29% or 1000 points to 6000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 172 to 157 and 109 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.28% or 0.15 to $52.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.27% or 0.15 to hit $55.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.15 to trade at $1259.05 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.09% to 13292.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.27% to 9935.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 100.80.
