Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Financials and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Eureka Prima Jakarta Tbk (JK:LCGP), which rose 24.19% or 75 points to trade at 385 at the close. Indopoly Swakarsa Industry Tbk (JK:IPOL) added 18.67% or 14 points to end at 89 and Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) was up 15.29% or 26 points to 196 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Plantation Tbk (JK:GOLL), which lost 10.00% or 11.00 points to trade at 99.00 in late trade. Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA) declined 10.00% or 25.000 points to end at 225.000 and Merdeka Copper Gold TBK PT (JK:MDKA) shed 9.44% or 170 points to 1630.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 146 to 120 and 96 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.25% or 0.94 to $40.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.76% or 0.76 to hit $42.34 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.42% or 5.20 to trade at $1239.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.15% to 13163.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.40% to 10139.00.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.59.
