Investing.com – European stocks opened sharply lower Wednesday as Donald Trump won the presidential race.
The DAX was down 1.50% at 04:00 ET, the Euro Stoxx 50 shed 1.49%, while the FTSE was off 0.56%.
The euro jumped 0.74% to $1.1108. The dollar index recouped some ground to trade down 0.55%.
U.S. stock index futures also pared losses. The S&P 500 futures was down 1.79% after falling over 4%.
Asian stocks slumped with the Nikkei 225 down 5.36%
