Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Life Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 2.04%, while the SZSE Component index climbed 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Shandong Huapeng Glass Co Ltd (SS:603021), which rose 10.06% or 0.710 points to trade at 7.770 at the close. Start Group (SS:600734) added 10.06% or 0.670 points to end at 7.330 and Jiangsu Wujiang Rural Commercial Bank Co Ltd (SS:603323) was up 10.03% or 0.580 points to 6.360 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hainan Airlines Co Ltd B (SS:900945), which lost 10.04% or 0.054 points to trade at 0.484 in late trade. Hainan Airlines Co Ltd A (SS:600221) declined 9.91% or 0.320 points to end at 2.910 and Ningxia Xinri Hengli Steel Wire Rope Co Ltd (SS:600165) shed 8.68% or 0.550 points to 5.790.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shanghai 2345 Network Holding Group (SZ:002195) which rose 10.10% to 4.47, Sainty Marine Corp Ltd (SZ:002608) which was up 10.07% to settle at 7.87 and Jiangsu Jiangyin Rural Commercial Bank Co Ltd (SZ:002807) which gained 10.06% to close at 5.91.
The worst performers were CCOOP Group Co Ltd (SZ:000564) which was down 10.06% to 4.29 in late trade, Huawen Media Investment Corp (SZ:000793) which lost 9.98% to settle at 4.96 and Guizhou Xinbang Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SZ:002390) which was down 4.91% to 6.78 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1172 to 210 and 38 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 22.66.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.07% or 0.90 to $1223.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.47% or 0.32 to hit $68.56 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.53 to trade at $73.11 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.04% to 6.7771, while EUR/CNY rose 0.03% to 7.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 94.97.
