Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Basic Industry and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index added 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Eratex Djaja Tbk (JK:ERTX), which rose 24.59% or 225 points to trade at 1140 at the close. Meanwhile, Jaya Pari Steel Tbk (JK:JPRS) added 20.00% or 24 points to end at 144 and Arita Prima Indonesia Tbk (JK:APII) was up 18.02% or 40 points to 262 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which fell 10.00% or 11 points to trade at 99 at the close. Argha Karya Prima Ind Tbk (JK:AKPI) declined 10.00% or 105 points to end at 945 and Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) was down 10.00% or 60 points to 540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 165 to 142 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) fell to 3-years lows; falling 10.00% or 11 to 99.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.38% or 0.72 to $31.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.08% or 0.65 to hit $31.59 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.10 to trade at $1081.10 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.14% to 13818.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.96% to 9810.95.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 99.28.
