Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Materials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which rose 6.80% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.140 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 5.21% or 1.060 points to end at 21.400 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 1.60% or 1.15 points to 72.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which lost 2.09% or 10.580 points to trade at 495.560 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) declined 1.51% or 2.940 points to end at 192.130 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) shed 1.35% or 3.210 points to 233.960.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 81 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.55 to $1342.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.46% or 1.70 to hit $47.41 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.38% or 1.72 to trade at $49.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.45% to 18.3115, while EUR/MXN rose 0.43% to 20.7265.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 94.52.
