Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 3.34% or 13.980 points to trade at 433.060 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 2.21% or 5.370 points to end at 248.010 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) was up 2.13% or 1.090 points to 52.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA), which lost 3.13% or 1.060 points to trade at 32.830 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) declined 2.26% or 0.730 points to end at 31.610 and America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) shed 1.88% or 0.210 points to 10.960.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 64 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.48% or 6.25 to $1316.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.44% or 0.19 to hit $43.81 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.37% or 0.17 to trade at $45.94 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.35% to 19.6833, while EUR/MXN rose 0.58% to 21.9998.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 95.77.
