Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Consumer Staples and Consumer Goods & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which rose 2.38% or 5.620 points to trade at 242.490 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) added 2.29% or 1.970 points to end at 88.100 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was up 2.23% or 0.930 points to 42.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which fell 2.66% or 0.880 points to trade at 32.160 at the close. Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) declined 1.92% or 1.790 points to end at 91.250 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) was down 1.61% or 1.380 points to 83.860.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 113 to 57 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was down 0.97% or 11.50 to $1176.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.84% or 0.85 to hit $47.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.49% or 0.74 to trade at $50.47 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.14% to 16.4112, while EUR/MXN fell 0.10% to 18.6314.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 94.74.
