The terrain is comprised of granitoids, flysch sediments, intermediate volcanic, and small occurrences of mafic intrusive and molasse sediments. Yaoue lies within the eastern half of Boufle greenstone belt in central Cote d'Ivoire. The belt is a north-north-east-trending assemblage of Palaeoproterozoic volcanic, sedimentary and intrusive rocks of the Birimian Supergroup. This zone comprises a system of structures in a 300-meter-wide zone, 200 meter stratigraphically below the CMA Zone.
