Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Services and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 11.45% or 2.240 points to trade at 21.800 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) added 6.86% or 0.070 points to end at 1.090 and Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRISA) was up 3.33% or 0.25 points to 7.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which lost 3.92% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.980 in late trade. Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) declined 3.24% or 0.22 points to end at 6.56 and Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:SELEC) shed 2.94% or 0.110 points to 3.630.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 184 to 170 and 51 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 1.80 to $1327.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.05 to trade at $55.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 3.4383, while EUR/TRY rose 0.40% to 4.1122.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 91.79.
