Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , Textile and Rubber sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Enterex International Ltd (TW:1592), which rose 9.89% or 3.05 points to trade at 33.90 at the close. AOPEN Inc (TW:3046) added 9.89% or 0.44 points to end at 4.89 and Central Reinsurance Corp (TW:2851) was up 9.87% or 1.55 points to 17.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Li Cheng Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:4426), which lost 9.98% or 5.50 points to trade at 49.60 in late trade. Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:8374) declined 9.96% or 3.70 points to end at 33.45 and Green Seal Holding Ltd (TW:1262) shed 9.93% or 7.20 points to 65.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 571 to 225 and 81 ended unchanged on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $63.49 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.86 to trade at $1277.06 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.00% to 30.172, while TWD/CNY fell 0.41% to 0.2196.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.43.
