Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA), which rose 6.17% or 38.92 points to trade at 669.89 at the close. VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) added 3.08% or 0.75 points to end at 25.13 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 2.56% or 0.590 points to 23.630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB), which lost 2.45% or 4.91 points to trade at 195.49 in late trade. Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) declined 2.30% or 0.77 points to end at 32.72 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) shed 1.78% or 0.620 points to 34.280.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 166 to 142 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.17% or 2.17 to $1255.27 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 5.08% or 2.61 to hit $48.75 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 4.87% or 2.63 to trade at $51.33 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.34% to 18.5033, while EUR/MXN rose 0.23% to 20.7376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.16.
