Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Agriculture, Infrastructure and Consumer Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Sidomulyo Selaras Tbk (JK:SDMU), which rose 32.50% or 65 points to trade at 265 at the close. Meanwhile, Sentul City Tbk (JK:BKSL) added 29.82% or 17 points to end at 74 and Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA) was up 15.70% or 19.00 points to 140.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which fell 10.00% or 110 points to trade at 990 at the close. Arita Prima Indonesia Tbk (JK:APII) declined 10.00% or 30 points to end at 270 and Jaya Pari Steel Tbk (JK:JPRS) was down 9.58% or 16 points to 151.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 199 to 98 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) fell to 3-years lows; falling 10.00% or 110 to 990. Shares in Arita Prima Indonesia Tbk (JK:APII) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.00% or 30 to 270.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.73% or 0.32 to $44.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.27% or 0.13 to hit $47.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1104.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.50% to 14405.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.37% to 10226.00.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.35.
