Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Miscellaneous Industry, Financials and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite gained 0.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA), which rose 20.54% or 23.00 points to trade at 135.00 at the close. Pelangi Indah Canindo Tbk (JK:PICO) added 12.87% or 26 points to end at 228 and Champion Pacific Indonesia Tbk (JK:IGAR) was up 11.92% or 46 points to 432 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indofarma Tbk (JK:INAF), which lost 9.77% or 125 points to trade at 1155 in late trade. Mustika Ratu Tbk (JK:MRAT) declined 9.40% or 22 points to end at 212 and Bank Mayapada Internasional (JK:MAYA) shed 7.81% or 125 points to 1475.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 157 to 135 and 91 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.83% or 1.31 to $47.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.76% or 1.32 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.89% or 11.75 to trade at $1312.95 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 1.62% to 13173.0, while AUD/IDR fell 2.27% to 9801.75.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 96.00.
