Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Trade and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.81% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Bank Agris Tbk (JK:AGRS), which rose 34.38% or 33.00 points to trade at 129.00 at the close. Victoria Insurance Tbk PT (JK:VINS) added 31.25% or 45 points to end at 189 and Indonesia Prima Property Tbk (JK:OMRE) was up 24.14% or 70.00 points to 360.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bank Harda Internasional Tbk PT (JK:BBHI), which lost 20.11% or 38 points to trade at 151 in late trade. Inti Bangun Sejahtera Tbk (JK:IBST) declined 18.41% or 510 points to end at 2260 and Buana Finance Tbk (JK:BBLD) shed 18.24% or 135 points to 605.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 174 to 144 and 113 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.22% or 0.11 to $49.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $52.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.32 to trade at $1265.88 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.03% to 13298.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.94% to 9937.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 98.92.
