Helix Resources Ltd (ASX:HLX) has completed the Management Transition Plan that began in September 2023 with the appointment of executive technical director Dr Kylie Prendergast as managing director effective May 1, 2024.
A highly experienced exploration geologist and respected technical leader, Dr Prendergast has more than 25 years of experience in the international mining and resource sector working for both ‘the Majors’ and a range of junior companies.
Helix recognised these skills as being highly complementary to the company’s copper exploration activities when she was invited to join the board in May 2022.
As the company's executive technical director, "Dr Prendergast has been instrumental in preparing and delivering the current strategic exploration campaign to detect copper-gold targets and ultimately deliver major discoveries in the highly endowed Cobar copper-gold region of New South Wales," according to Helix.
In another change, executive chair Mike Rosenstreich will become non-executive chair effective June 1, 2024.
