Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.39% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (CN:ETB), which rose 6.03% or 22.0 points to trade at 387.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 0.83% or 60.0 points to end at 7300.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) was up 0.50% or 10.0 points to 2010.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 10.00% or 78.0 points to trade at 702.0 in late trade. Promigas (CN:PMG) declined 3.38% or 250.0 points to end at 7140.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 3.36% or 40.0 points to 1150.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.22% or 1.36 to $109.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 3.77% or 84.50 to hit $2156.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1223.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.64% to 2890.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.14% to 769.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.29.
