Investing.com – China equities were mixed at the close on Friday, as gains in the Life Insurance, Telecoms and Mobile sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Software & Computer Services, Gas, Water & Multiutilities and Oil Equipment Services & Distribution sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.26% to hit a new 52-week high, while the SZSE Component index lost 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Ganso Co Ltd (SS:603886), which rose 10.00% or 2.130 points to trade at 23.420 at the close. Kweichow Moutai Co Ltd (SS:600519) added 7.17% or 43.41 points to end at 648.50 and Jiangquan Ind (SS:600212) was up 6.65% or 0.720 points to 11.550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Suzhou Keda Technology Co Ltd (SS:603660), which lost 10.00% or 4.560 points to trade at 41.060 in late trade. Jiangsu Yueda Investment Co Ltd (SS:600805) declined 7.30% or 0.560 points to end at 7.110 and Huaxin Cement (SS:600801) shed 7.13% or 1.070 points to 13.940.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shenzhen Coship Electronics Co Ltd (SZ:002052) which rose 10.00% to 7.48, Beijing SL Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SZ:002038) which was up 7.33% to settle at 31.79 and Shaanxi Ligeance Mineral Resources Co Ltd (SZ:000697) which gained 5.79% to close at 27.77.
The worst performers were Suzhou Victory Precision Manufacture Co Ltd (SZ:002426) which was down 9.80% to 6.90 in late trade, Yinji Entertainment Media Co Ltd (SZ:002143) which lost 8.56% to settle at 14.20 and Beijing Zhong Ke San Huan High-Tech Co Ltd (SZ:000970) which was down 6.00% to 16.62 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 903 to 393 and 35 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 2.27% to 19.33.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 2.64 to $1266.96 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $59.27 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.16% to 6.6538, while EUR/CNY fell 0.02% to 7.7389.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.80.
