Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments & Services, Life Insurance and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.47%, while the SZSE Component index lost 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Besttone Holding Co Ltd (SS:600640), which rose 10.04% or 1.030 points to trade at 11.290 at the close. DELIXI XINJIANG Transportation Co Ltd (SS:603032) added 10.02% or 2.53 points to end at 27.78 and BOMESC Offshore Engineering Co Ltd (SS:603727) was up 10.02% or 1.350 points to 14.820 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nanjing Central Emporium Group Stocks Co Ltd (SS:600280), which lost 10.00% or 0.680 points to trade at 6.120 in late trade. Nantong Jiangshan Agrochemical & Chemicals Co Ltd (SS:600389) declined 7.62% or 1.740 points to end at 21.090 and Jiangsu Hengli Hydraulic Co Ltd (SS:601100) shed 7.06% or 1.620 points to 21.310.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical Industry Co Ltd (SZ:000766) which rose 10.06% to 8.75, Yinji Entertainment Media Co Ltd (SZ:002143) which was up 9.92% to settle at 3.88 and Sieyuan Electric Co Ltd (SZ:002028) which gained 8.08% to close at 17.26.
The worst performers were Shandong Qixing Iron Tower Co Ltd (SZ:002359) which was down 9.98% to 13.35 in late trade, Leyard Optoelectronic (SZ:300296) which lost 6.47% to settle at 8.09 and Chaozhou Three-circle Group Co Ltd (SZ:300408) which was down 5.86% to 21.86 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 939 to 402 and 104 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 24.58.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 2.10 to $1203.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $68.53 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.18 to trade at $77.09 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.11% to 6.8384, while EUR/CNY rose 0.13% to 7.9555.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.08.
