Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil Equipment Services & Distribution, Media and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.46%, while the SZSE Component index lost 1.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were DELIXI XINJIANG Transportation Co Ltd (SS:603032), which rose 10.03% or 1.93 points to trade at 21.18 at the close. Jiangquan Ind (SS:600212) added 9.88% or 0.340 points to end at 3.780 and GuangZhou Baiyun Electric Equipment Co Ltd (SS:603861) was up 8.67% or 0.910 points to 11.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nanjing Kangni Mechanical & Electrical Co Ltd (SS:603111), which lost 10.04% or 0.51 points to trade at 4.57 in late trade. Tonghua Dongbao Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SS:600867) declined 9.97% or 1.920 points to end at 17.330 and Qijing Machinery Co Ltd (SS:603677) shed 9.96% or 1.42 points to 12.83.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co Ltd (SZ:000792) which rose 10.04% to 8.44, Beijing Baofeng Technology Co Ltd (SZ:300431) which was up 9.96% to settle at 12.03 and By health (SZ:300146) which gained 6.07% to close at 19.58.
The worst performers were Wuhu Shunrong Auto Parts Co Ltd (SZ:002555) which was down 9.98% to 10.19 in late trade, Chenzhou Jingui Silver Industry Co Ltd (SZ:002716) which lost 9.95% to settle at 8.87 and Fujian Guanfu Modern Household Wares Co Ltd (SZ:002102) which was down 9.94% to 3.26 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1051 to 331 and 62 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was up 13.92% to 23.89.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.71% or 8.50 to $1213.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $70.17 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.18 to trade at $77.84 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.17% to 6.8330, while EUR/CNY fell 0.01% to 7.9851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.53.
