Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Oil Equipment Services & Distribution and Real Estate Investments & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 1.48%, while the SZSE Component index added 1.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Yibin Paper Industry Co Ltd (SS:600793), which rose 10.03% or 1.93 points to trade at 21.18 at the close. Anhui Golden Seed Winery Co Ltd (SS:600199) added 10.02% or 0.630 points to end at 6.920 and Hangzhou Youngsun Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd (SS:603901) was up 10.01% or 0.81 points to 8.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aurora Optoelectronics Co Ltd (SS:600666), which lost 10.03% or 1.570 points to trade at 14.090 in late trade. Zhejiang ChiMin Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SS:603222) declined 9.96% or 1.21 points to end at 10.94 and Dahu Aquaculture Co Ltd (SS:600257) shed 7.43% or 0.550 points to 6.850.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Beijing Lanxum Tech Co (SZ:300010) which rose 10.01% to 14.95, Yunnan Baiyao Group Co Ltd (SZ:000538) which was up 10.00% to settle at 109.00 and Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Co Ltd (SZ:000860) which gained 10.00% to close at 30.04.
The worst performers were Sichuan Danfu Compressor Co Ltd (SZ:002366) which was down 5.75% to 24.93 in late trade, Cefc Anhui International Holding Co Ltd (SZ:002018) which lost 5.08% to settle at 3.55 and Shen Zhen Bauing Construction Holding Group Co Ltd (SZ:002047) which was down 4.34% to 7.05 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1270 to 73 and 25 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 1.50% to 22.35.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.13% or 1.70 to $1313.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.85% or 0.59 to hit $70.31 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.69% or 0.52 to trade at $75.39 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.03% to 6.3605, while EUR/CNY fell 0.32% to 7.5879.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 92.59.
