Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Mobile and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 1.11%, while the SZSE Component index climbed 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Shaanxi Baoguang Vacuum Electronic Apparatus Co Ltd (SS:600379), which rose 10.06% or 0.690 points to trade at 7.550 at the close. Shanghai Shibei Hi-Tech Co Ltd A (SS:600604) added 10.04% or 0.46 points to end at 5.04 and China Sports Industry Group Co Ltd (SS:600158) was up 10.04% or 0.820 points to 8.990 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Beihai Gofar Marine Biological Industry Co Ltd (SS:600538), which lost 10.05% or 0.440 points to trade at 3.940 in late trade. Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687) declined 10.01% or 0.910 points to end at 8.180 and Sichuan Swellfun Co Ltd (SS:600779) shed 10.01% or 4.720 points to 42.450.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Thunder Software Technology Co Ltd (SZ:300496) which rose 9.99% to 28.85, Sinodata Co Ltd (SZ:002657) which was up 9.98% to settle at 15.10 and Cangzhou Mingzhu Plastic Co Ltd (SZ:002108) which gained 9.98% to close at 4.96.
The worst performers were Zhejiang Kaishan Compressor (SZ:300257) which was down 10.02% to 11.68 in late trade, Beijing Sanju Environmental (SZ:300072) which lost 10.01% to settle at 13.58 and Tianma Microelectronics Co Ltd (SZ:000050) which was down 9.96% to 11.48 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 868 to 494 and 78 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was up 3.77% to 25.34.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.79% or 9.30 to $1193.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $65.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $71.83 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.02% to 6.8789, while EUR/CNY fell 0.50% to 7.8292.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 96.15.
