Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Beverage, Holding Companies and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which rose 6.00% or 55 points to trade at 965 at the close. Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) added 6.00% or 78 points to end at 1378 and Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) was up 5.13% or 6.30 points to 129.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM), which lost 8.58% or 155 points to trade at 1650 in late trade. Oulmes (CS:OULM) declined 5.93% or 76 points to end at 1204 and Managem (CS:MNG) shed 5.93% or 38 points to 602.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.96% or 1.52 to $36.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 4.22% or 1.70 to hit $38.63 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.46% or 18.10 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.05% to 10.9730, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.6327.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 94.61.
