Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Financial Services and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB), which rose 2.74% or 1.520 points to trade at 57.070 at the close. Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) added 2.73% or 3.58 points to end at 134.52 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 2.36% or 0.850 points to 36.930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX), which lost 1.44% or 0.630 points to trade at 43.230 in late trade. Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) declined 1.35% or 0.660 points to end at 48.170 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) shed 0.58% or 0.130 points to 22.450.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 154 to 95 and 14 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.52% or 6.72 to $1287.28 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.68% or 1.31 to hit $47.51 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.76% or 1.44 to trade at $50.66 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.36% to 17.7660, while EUR/MXN fell 0.67% to 20.9325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 93.34.
