Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods & Services, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA), which rose 1.36% or 0.420 points to trade at 31.300 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) added 1.33% or 1.24 points to end at 94.28 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was up 1.22% or 1.38 points to 114.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which lost 2.72% or 0.46 points to trade at 16.47 in late trade. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) declined 2.44% or 19.81 points to end at 791.31 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) shed 2.27% or 0.79 points to 33.98.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 97 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.22% or 2.65 to $1215.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.62% or 0.72 to hit $45.12 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 0.69 to trade at $47.57 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.10% to 17.9317, while EUR/MXN rose 0.43% to 20.5523.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 95.52.
