Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 0.66% or 2.3 points to trade at 352.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 0.44% or 0.80 points to end at 182.80 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 0.28% or 0.30 points to 107.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which fell 2.00% or 5.6 points to trade at 273.9 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.85% or 2.20 points to end at 116.90 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 1.81% or 1.60 points to 86.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 255 to 185 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.82% or 0.82 to $44.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.06% or 0.53 to hit $49.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1089.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.70% to 9.5525, while USD/SEK rose 0.57% to 8.7474.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.92.
