Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Construction & Building Materials and Forestry & Paper sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 9.20% or 8.00 points to trade at 95.00 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 5.95% or 75 points to end at 1335 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 1.30% or 1.90 points to 147.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which lost 6.99% or 6.84 points to trade at 91.00 in late trade. Disway SA (CS:DWY) declined 3.45% or 10.00 points to end at 280.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) shed 3.27% or 10 points to 287.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 8 and 12 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.89% or 0.96 to $49.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.89% or 0.98 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.85 to trade at $1263.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.17% to 10.7780, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.9082.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 98.78.
