Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 1.37% or 160.0 points to trade at 11860.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.81% or 15.0 points to end at 1870.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 0.74% or 30.0 points to 4060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.31% or 230.0 points to trade at 9730.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.09% or 0.2 points to end at 18.2 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 0.81% or 10.0 points to 1225.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 3.93% or 6.20 to $164.02 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.11% or 30.00 to hit $2740.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.86% or 10.85 to trade at $1274.55 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.08% to 2935.99, while BRL/COP rose 0.19% to 942.14.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 98.72.
