Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 1.50% or 0.615 points to trade at 41.570 at the close. B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 0.92% or 0.011 points to end at 1.210 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) was up 0.38% or 0.065 points to 17.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 3.59% or 0.395 points to trade at 10.605 in late trade. International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (MC:ICAG) declined 2.98% or 0.150 points to end at 4.886 and Acciona (MC:ANA) shed 2.45% or 1.690 points to 67.320.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 163 to 43 and 13 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.20 to $1303.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.68% or 0.75 to hit $43.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.94% or 0.90 to trade at $45.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1118, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8885.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.08.
