Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.59% or 270.0 points to trade at 7800.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) added 1.78% or 20.0 points to end at 1145.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 1.74% or 260.0 points to 15220.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 4.28% or 70.0 points to trade at 1565.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.33% or 30.0 points to end at 1260.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) shed 2.22% or 0.4 points to 17.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.74% or 0.95 to $127.55 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.52% or 15.50 to hit $2982.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.83% or 22.40 to trade at $1244.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.09% to 3059.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.97% to 841.26.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.89% at 95.14.
