Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA), which rose 1.13% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.4490 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 0.33% or 0.0090 points to end at 2.7520 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPRu) was up 0.13% or 0.0080 points to 6.0520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 7.03% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.3040 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 4.21% or 0.0024 points to end at 0.0546 and Banif SA (LS:BANIF) was down 2.70% or 0.0001 points to 0.0037.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 40 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.84% or 0.42 to $50.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.46% or 0.69 to hit $47.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1165.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1382, while EUR/GBP rose 0.88% to 0.7465.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.80.
