Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.77% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 21.28% or 365.0 points to trade at 2080.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 9.30% or 650.0 points to end at 7640.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 3.89% or 0.7 points to 18.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which lost 0.49% or 120.0 points to trade at 24340.0 in late trade. Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 0.47% or 180.0 points to end at 38000.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 1115.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.79% or 0.93 to $116.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.22% or 6.50 to hit $2930.50 , while the April Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1235.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.72% to 3313.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.80% to 836.21.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 97.30.
