Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Forestry & Paper and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 5.94% or 77 points to trade at 1372 at the close. Risma (CS:RIS) added 5.00% or 5.40 points to end at 113.40 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 4.33% or 3 points to 65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 9.94% or 157 points to trade at 1421 in late trade. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.99% or 11.65 points to end at 182.75 and CDM (CS:CDM) shed 5.66% or 26 points to 440.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.78% or 0.39 to $50.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.15% or 0.58 to hit $51.13 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1245.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.9560, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.6562.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 93.95.
