Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA), which rose 6.04% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.3160 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.94% or 0.3450 points to end at 12.0800 and Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) was up 1.02% or 0.0050 points to 0.4950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which fell 3.21% or 0.0350 points to trade at 1.0550 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 2.07% or 0.0220 points to end at 1.0420 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 1.91% or 0.0009 points to 0.0461.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 19 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.58% or 0.20 to $33.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.69% or 0.23 to hit $33.50 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.60% or 6.70 to trade at $1101.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.0886, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.7499.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 98.71.
