Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 1.86% or 0.0880 points to trade at 4.8110 at the close. Meanwhile, Portucel (LS:PTI) added 1.26% or 0.0450 points to end at 3.6220 and Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) was up 1.06% or 0.0050 points to 0.4700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which fell 3.35% or 0.0380 points to trade at 1.0970 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 3.21% or 0.0016 points to end at 0.0483 and Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA) was down 2.59% or 0.0090 points to 0.3390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 24 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.59% or 0.0090 to 0.3390.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 3.19% or 1.21 to $36.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 3.62% or 1.37 to hit $36.50 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.78% or 8.30 to trade at $1059.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.0911, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.7357.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 98.42.
