Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 5.99% or 35 points to trade at 612 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 5.87% or 1.22 points to end at 22.00 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) was up 5.11% or 55 points to 1130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which fell 5.99% or 14.30 points to trade at 224.10 at the close. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 5.97% or 5.32 points to end at 83.68 and S2M (CS:S2M) was down 4.83% or 8.70 points to 171.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) fell to all time lows; falling 5.97% or 5.32 to 83.68. Shares in Oulmes (CS:OULM) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.11% or 55 to 1130.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.56% or 0.56 to $36.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $36.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.56% or 6.10 to trade at $1074.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.16% to 10.8080, while USD/MAD fell 0.34% to 9.8535.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 98.08.
