Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.16% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which rose 33.93% or 19 points to trade at 75 at the close. Jakarta Kyoei Steel Works Tbk (JK:JKSW) added 18.18% or 12 points to end at 78 and Centratama Telekomunikasi Ind (JK:CENT) was up 11.63% or 15 points to 144 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama (JK:JKON), which lost 10.00% or 80 points to trade at 720 in late trade. Lippo General Insurance Tbk (JK:LPGI) declined 10.00% or 500 points to end at 4500 and Duta Pertiwi Nusantara Tbk (JK:DPNS) shed 9.76% or 37 points to 342.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 155 to 120 and 111 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.14% or 0.05 to $34.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.60% or 0.22 to hit $36.71 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1242.40 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.34% to 13216.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.05% to 9703.85.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 98.22.
