Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.55% or 0.91 points to trade at 36.66 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) added 2.39% or 5.3 points to end at 227.0 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 2.08% or 1.80 points to 88.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which lost 1.41% or 1.90 points to trade at 133.10 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 0.99% or 2.8 points to end at 279.0 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 0.79% or 0.25 points to 31.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 351 to 341 and 93 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.49% or 0.25 to $50.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.82 to trade at $1260.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 9.7751, while USD/SEK fell 0.33% to 8.7020.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.88.
